Hi everyone!

Did you see the Spellbloggers Team Call posted by Kellie on Tuesday? This is a wonderful opportunity to work with an amazing group of people. Spellbinders is not just a company, but it feels like family! I was so excited when I got to join last year and am really sad that it is time for me to leave.

We have major changes coming up with our family. Rick is either being deployed, or has to work in a different city for a year starting this summer. I am staying put with the kids so Lucas can finish high school here. Austin is starting college this summer. So I want to focus the time I have left, before Austin and Rick are leaving, on our family. And after this summer, I will need more time being a single parent for that coming year.

I don’t have a last new Spellblogger tutorial for you since I was sick for the last two weeks. So I picked three of my favorite Spellblogger projects. It was not easy to just pick three! 🙂 You can find them on the Spellbinders blog. I hope you have time to check it out.

You know I will continue to use and post projects created with Spellbinders dies. I LOVE their products. I just won’t post very regularly this year, taking my time to hang out with Rick and the kids.

Have a wonderful day! Hugs and smiles

Beate

  20. We all know you love your Spellbinders and use them so beautifully and creatively! It sounds to me as though you’ve made great choices for this year, even if tough. I hope you ave some great family time with the “boys” before they head off. It makes me feel I’ve been around SCS and your blog for a long time now to read that Lucas is off to college ~ I think my visual picture of him is from when you still used to post your Scrapbook Sundays!!!
Enjoy this “season” in your life and all that it has for you.It won’t be long till things change again.
    Hugs
    Sabrina

  21. First and foremost is family….Please tell Rick…”Thank You for serving” !!! But family does comes first….I hope you and your family will have many…many…days, hours and seconds together sharing your love for one another….and we do all understand….sad….but understand….but I also know you will still have to play in your room from time to time and I hope you will share it with us….God Bless you and your family….

  22. At the end of the day, FAMILY IS EVERYTHING, Beate. And those who understand that, will always respect and accept any decisions you make with regards to your family. It’s people like Rick who allow us the freedoms that many take for granted. For his service, we can NEVER be thankful enough.

Savour every moment that you have with your family and maybe in the process, you might even scrapbook a few of those memories!

You know that we will all be here, no matter what or how often that you post.

    BIG hugs, ~B~

  23. Hi Beate, I knew something was up when I didn’t receive any updates. I want start off by saying I hope you are feeling better! I myself will miss your daily posts. You are my favorite & I always look up to you for inspiration. Enjoy your family! God Bless! Hugs Traci ;0)

  25. I don’t leave a lot of comments but I wanted to tell you what an inspiration you are. I love Spellbinders like crazy & several weeks ago you posted an absolutely gorgeous card using the new Radiant Rectangles set. I fell so in love w/ your card & w/ the set that I actually printed a copy of your card and hung it up in my craft room, then I waited for weeks for the dies to get “in stock”. I received the set in the mail just yesterday & made your card last night. It is so pretty & really not that hard so I will be making LOTS of it & will always call it my Beate card. Best wishes for the coming year with all of its excitement & challenges. Just please post for us as much as you can squeeze in.

  26. You are making the right choice! Of course, crafters will miss your posts, but I’m pleased that you will be spending valuable time with your family.

  27. I hope you are feeling better… You are making the right choice, family comes first and one should focus on spending quality time with them 🙂 I look forward to your posts, whenever you have time, you are such and inspiration to many of us and as well I wish you and your family the very best!!!

  29. We live in a Navy community and know the challenges deployment presents to families. I think you are making the right decision. Your card family will always be here but your children will be out of the house before you know it so enjoy every moment you can with them and your husband. I hope you will continue your blog and post your designs whenever you can. I have learned so many new things from you over the past several years. Blessings to you and your family.

  30. Hope you are now feeling better. I will miss your SB posts and tutorials. Hope to still ‘see’ you frequently on your blog. All the best to you and your family.

  31. Your blog is the first site I go to every morning when I turn on my computer…I will miss you! You have inspired me with your beautiful cards and taught me with your wonderful videos. I send my best wishes to you and your family in the next months. God bless you always.

  32. I have learned many techniques and enjoyed seeing your beautiful work at Splitcoast Stampers and for Spellbinders! Just wanted to wish you and your family the very best……family comes first! We all know that. Thanks for sharing your talent with all of us!

  33. Family first.
You are loved and prayed for!

  34. Oh Beate, of course spending time with your family needs to be the most important thing! Family always comes first! I’ll miss seeing creations from you but whatever you do share over that time, I’ll soak up your creativity!!! You rock!

  35. Best wishes Beate in the path you have chosen to take. Hopefully time will pass quickly for your family to be back together again. I will be keeping an eye out for you to pop up from time to time in blog land with your wonderful creativity. Big Hugs!

  36. I totally understand, wishing you all the best as you all deal with the changes ahead, hope this time you have together before he leaves is a good one. Glad to hear you haven’t given up on posting all together 🙂

  37. Wow Beate, sounds like you’ve had more than your share going on at one time! And, hope you’re feeling better, I’ve been dealing with that too, and not fun, especially when you don’t even feel like crafting.

Do what you need to do for yourself and your family, we will miss your regular postings, but hope to see you once in awhile. Your talent is an inspiration to us all. 🙂

  42. So will miss you Beate but you are making the right choice enjoy your family I will be praying for you guys. You have been a blessing to us with your God given talents thanks for all you done for the stamping, scrapbooking etc. community may God bless you and your family.

  43. Best of luck in the coming year. I am sorry that you will have to single parent for most of it. I hope it all works out as well as possible.

  44. I really miss you Beate. I understand your situation, being raised in military & first 2 husbands in military. Our kids are all grown up and on their own. We miss them so — enjoy every moment of family ♥ rosy

  45. Beate, I applaud you for putting your family priorities first. It is so easy to think that “the kids are older and don’t need my attention so much anymore” and continue with our crafting frenzy.

But, as I am finding out, as our kids get older, they almost need us more for support as they transition into adulthood.

I know that you will continue to awe with your creations when you are able. I will look forward to those bits and pieces of stolen time eagerly!!

  46. Best of luck Beate! I will surely miss all your wonderful inspiration and creativity but I understand completely that family comes first 🙂 Hope you enjoy every moment with your loved ones!

  47. Although it is a difficult decision, family does come first and I would definitely make the same decision as you did. I’ll miss seeing your lovely work and hearing your “hugs and smiles”. Take good care, Beate! Hope to see you when you return. Aloha, Donna

  48. Just checking in – miss you – hope all is well with you and your family. You are a strong woman and I hope the trials you all face are just make you all stronger.
