Today’s CPS sketch challenge is sponsored by Kraftin’ Kimmie stamps. The sketch didn’t really lent itself to Kimmie’s big images, so I only used part of Charlotte for my card.

I cut three 1 3/8″ squares out of Neenah Solar White cardstock. On the first I stamped Charlotte’s head and the doll she is holding in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, on the second the doll she is holding in her other hand. The third square was stamped with sentiments from Sassy Sentiments. I stamped the extra stamp doll that comes with Charlotte on a scrap paper.

The images were colored with Copic Markers (Charlotte’s hair: E37, E47, E49, Charlotte’s skin: E000, E01, E11, Charlotte’s Dress: RV42, R32, R35, N3, N5, N6, YG01, YG03, YG17, Doll eyes: N3, N5, N6, Doll Skin: E40, E41, E42, E43, Doll Dress: BG10, BG11, BG13, Doll Collar: Y13, Y15, Y17, T2, Background: BG10, BG0000) and layered on black cardstock, cut and embossed with the smallest Lacey Square Nestabilities die.The extra doll was cut out and adhered to the sentiment panel with dimensionals. The image panels were paper pierced.

A 2″ x 5 1/4″ piece of October Afternoon Modern Homemaker paper was adhered to a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of the same paper pack. All four corners of the big layer were rounded before the layers were stitched to a 3/16″ bigger piece of black cardstock. The corners were rounded as well.

Black Ric Rac was adhered over the edge of the horizontal strip. Over that green ribbon was tied and topped with a Build-a-Brad (Stampin’ Up!) was topped with a big silver Kaisercraft Rhinestone. To dress up the upper half of the card a bit, I added a Recollection Rhinestone swirl above the bow and three Buttons (Cosmo Cricket and October Afternoon to the top left corner. The buttons were stitched to the card with black waxed Linen.

The card base is a 8 1/2″ x 5 3/4″ piece of Core’dination cardstock folded in half. Three tiny Silver Kaisercraft Rhinestones in each of the top card corner finish off the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have time to play with the sketch! Have a great day!

Today’s card was created for several challenges. The background was created with the Bargello Technique, which was the Technique challenge on SCS on Monday. The sketch is from Cute Card Thursday’s challenge and the Scallop Circle was used so the card would fit Kraftin’ Kimmie’s challenge today.

For my sample I picked Drucilla. I lover her slightly demented look. I stamped her in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and cut her out with Classic Circle Nestabilities and the Out of the Box Technique. The image was colored with Copic Markers (Skin: YR0000, YR000, YR00,    Dress: YG01, YG03, YG17, N1, N3, N5, N7,    Stockings: R12, R15, R17, E30, E0000,    Doll: E30, E31, E33,    Hair: E15, E25, E29,    Background: B0000, B000, B91). The image adhered to Black cardstock that had been cut and embossed with Classic Scallop Circle Nestabilities.

My Bargello background was created out of Echo Park’s For the Record Patterned Paper. I cut my strips 5/8″ wide. The background was cut with Label 1 Grand Nestabilities and layered on a hand-cut, slightly bigger piece of black cardstock. The layers were stitched together. Two tiny tabs were cut with one of the Label Trio dies, adhered to the top right corner and topped with Silver Recollection Pearls.

The image was adhered with dimensionals and Prima and Bo Bunny Flowers were taped around it. One of them had a Basic Grey Button center, the rest were topped with Recollection Pearl Brads.

The sentiment is from Sassy Sentiments. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock that had been cut and embossed with one of the Double Ended Tags.

The main card was created out of one 4 3/4″ x 9 1/2″ piece of Sno Cone cardstock folded in half. Two bigger pieces of Sno Cone paper were cut and embossed with Grand Label 1 Nestabilities and adhered to the front and back.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

Did I ever have fun coloring beautiful Cordelia from Kraftin’ Kimmie for the Kraftin’ Kimmie challenge today. Today it’s a sketch, a fun one to boot. I hope you all have time to play.

I stamped Cordelia in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock and cut  her out with the largest Classic Circle Nestabilities die and the Out of the Box Technique. The image was colored with Copic Markers (Skin: E0000, E00, E01, Hair: YR18, E07, E19, Shells: E00, E02, Snail Houses: G20, G21, Star: Y13, Y17, E31, Tail: Y13, Y15, Y17, E31, G20, G21, G24, Water: BG11, BG34, BG45) and adhered to a piece of Really Rust cardstock that had been cut with the largest of the Large scallop circle dies and colored with E19 to match the hair of Cordelia. The edges of the image circle were paper pierced.

White Opal Liquid Pearls were added to dress up the pearls in her hair. White Liquid Pearls was mixed with water and brushed on to the tail, shells and snail of the mermaid for a really cool shimmer.

A 1 7/8″ x 4 3/4″ piece of MME Fine and Dandy -  True Blue paper was adhered to a 4 3/4″ square from the same paper pack. The top right corner of the strip was rolled, Melissa Frances white lace was adhered at the end of the strip and the layers were stitched to a 3/16″ bigger piece of Really Rust cardstock (again, colored with Copic Marker E19).

The card base is a 5 1/4″ x 10 1/2″ piece of Textured Kraft cardstock folded in half. The layers were adhered to the card base and the image was adhered over the layers with dimensionals. Recollection Pearl Brads were added as center to Prima Flowers and adhered next to the image with dimensionals.

The sentiment is from Kimmie’s Mermaid Sentiments. It was stamped on a 1/2″ wide strip of Neenah Solar White cardstock with Tuxedo Memento Ink. Color was added with Copic markers, a banner was formed and it was adhered with dimensionals and Scor-Tape. Two Pearl Pins were added to the lower flower. Snow Kaisercraft Pearls finish off the card.

Thanks so much for stopping  by! Have a wonderful weekend!

For my sample I used the new Krafty Quotes #1 set. I thought this quote would make a nice Valentine’s Card for my hubby. I stamped the image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock and cut and embossed it with Spellbinders Classic Heart die.

The swirl from Tim Holtz Regal Mini Mask was adhered over the heart before it was airbrushed first with Copic Marker BG10, then E30. The heart was layered on a piece of Canyon Brown cardstock, cut and embossed with a Scallop Heart die. The edges of the sponged heart were paper pierced.

The layout of the card is from this weeks Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. All patterned paper are from Cosmo Cricket’s Everafter Paper Line.

A 1 3/8″ x 5 1/2″ strip was adhered to a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ paper piece. The bottom corner were rounded with a W R Memory Keepers Cropadile Corner Chomper. The layers were stitched to a 3/16″ piece of Canyon Brown cardstock.

A 4 1/4″ long strip of Neenah Solar White cardstock was cut and embossed with Jumbo Scallop Borderabilities die and adhered to the lower half of the card. Brown Organdy Ribbon was tied around the scallop layer, tied to a bow and topped with an (SU) Filigree piece topped with a Recollections Pearl brad. A smaller filigree was topped with a smaller pearl brad and was attached to the left side of the heart.

Another piece of Everafter paper was cut and embossed with a Lacey Square Nestbilities die and adhered to the card front with dimensionals. The heart was attached to the square with dimensionals as well.

The layers were adhered to the card front, a  4 7/8″ x 12″ piece of Textured Kraft cardstock folded in half. Three Snow Kaisercraft Pearls were adhered to the upper right corner to finish off the card.

Have fun checking out the other blog hop participants. The next stop will be the sweet and wonderful Deb Felts!  I can’t wait to see what everyone has created!

Have a wonderful Sunday! Hugs and smiles

Today’s Kraftin’ Kimmie Challenge involves a list. We are to use

  • 3 Colors
  • Two different Patterned Papers

For my sample I used the soon to be released Judy stamp. I stamped her in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored her in with Copic Markers (Shirt: RV21, RV23, RV34,  Shorts: B32, B34, B37, Hair: C3, C5, C8, Skin: E000, E01, E11, Background: Bo000).

The cardstock was cut down to 2 13/16″ x 4 1/2″ and adhered to a piece of Canyon Brown cardstock that had been cut and embossed with Long Scallop Rectangle Nestabilities. The edges of the image layer were paper pierced.

A 4″ long piece of white cardstock was cut with the Little Open Scallop Strip Die-namics die and adhered under a 2″ x 4″ piece of My Mind’s Eye Fine and Dandy Tickled Pink Paper. Both layers were adhered to 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Tickled Pink paper which was stitched to a 3/16″ piece of black cardstock.

Today is Sneak Peek day #2 for the new Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps. For a list of all sneak peek participants, check  the Kraftin’ Kimmie blog. Today you get a peek at the new Steven Leary images.

For my sample I used Springtime Maisie. The image was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored with Copic Markers (Maisie: C1, C2, C3, C5, Ears and Nose: E93, E95, Flowers: BG10, BG11, BG13, R30, R32, R43, Y13, Y15, Y17, Grass and leaves: YG01, YG03, YG17, Basked: E13, E15, E18, shading: T0, T1).

The image was cut and embossed with Classic Square Nestabilities. Small and medium sized cloud masks cut with the Cloud Die-namics die and layered over the sky. The mouse and flower were masked and the sky was airbrushed with Copic Marker B32.  Next the image was layered on a piece of Neenah Canyon Brown cardstock, cut and embossed with Scallop Square Nestabilities and the edges were paper pierced.

For my card I used the current CPS sketch. I just turned it a bit so I wouldn’t have to cover up the flowers with the sentiment.

The card base is a 4 3/4″ x 9 1/2″ piece of textured Going Grey cardstock folded in half. A 4 1/4″ piece of Echo Park Life is Good paper was stitched to a 3/16″ bigger piece of Canyon Brown cardstock before the layers were attached to the card base. The image was adhered to the base with dimensionals.

The sentiment is from Kraftin’ Kimmie’s Thankful Sentiment set. The edges of a medium size cloud die-cut were airbrushed with Copic Marker B32 before the sentiment was stamped in it’s center with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Yellow Kaisercraft Rhinestones in the center of the blue flowers, as well as the sentiment panel and the lower right corner of the card base finish off the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Two images I colored made it in the 2011 Copic Catalog. I am sooo stinking excited. The name of the stamp sets weren’t listed, so I thought I better do it here.

The first image is from Crafty Secrets Roses Stamp set. It was stamped on Express It! Blending Card in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with Copic Markers. I didn’t write down the colors and I colored the images back in September, but I think the colors were R27, R29, R39, R89, BG93, BG96, BG99.

I love this Rose image. It is sooo much fun to color!

I love Crissy Armstrong’s Fairy images from Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps. For my second image I chose the Bird Fairy. Again the image was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored with Copic Markers. I am sorry, but I really don’t recall all the colors used on the Fairy. I know there were quite a lot.

Wait until you see the rest of the artwork in that catalog. I can’t believe my images made it in. All the other artwork is hand drawn and colored and really takes your breath away. Copic added each artist’s name and blog address to their page.

Have a wonderful day! Try to stay warm. It’s snowing here …. again. Just the thought of shoveling snow AGAIN makes me sigh. Both boys are home sick with colds. Winter is so not my season and living this far North is definitely not for the Johns’ family! 6 more months….

Hugs and smiles

For my sample I used Steven’s darling Sharin’ Some Cocoa image. I stamped the image twice, once on Cosmo Cricket 1934 paper, once on X-Press It! Blending Card with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I colored the mice on the white cardstock with Copic Markers (boy fur: T1, T3, T4 nose, ear: E93, Jacket: B91, B95, B97, girl fur: E34, E35, E37, Nose: E02, E04, Jacket: YG03, YG25, YG17, Cups: C0, C1, C3, E37), cut them out and colored the the edges with my black marker. Next I cut out the couch and colored it with Copic Markers (YR21, YR23, YR24, E07, E09, E18).  Shading paper pieced images was the last challenge over on the Copic Challenge blog.

A 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ piece of 1934 Cosmo Cricket paper was colored with Copic Marker E09 and adhered to a 2 1/2″ square of paper from the same pack and was stitched to a 2 5/8″ square of Classic Cream cardstock. A piece of black cardstock was cut and embossed with Label 15 Nestabilities die. The stitched layers were adhered to the Black Label die. The image was adhered to these layers with dimensionals.

A 2″ x 3 3/4″ piece of 1934 Cosmo Cricket paper was colored with Copic Marker E07 and adhered to a 3 3/4″ square of the same paper pack. The layers were stitched to a 3/16″ bigger piece of black cardstock. Seam binding was tied around the layers and topped with a blue button. The layers were adhered to a 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Kraft cardstock that had been folded in half.

The sentiment is from Kimmie’s Birthday Sentiments. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Classic Cream cardstock that had been cut and embossed with Tag dies. The tag center was sponged with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. A washer was adhered to the front of the tag and a hole was pierced through the tag there. It was attached to the button/bow combo with waxed Linen.

The card base is pretty simple, just something to tie it in with the front.

Next on the blog hop is Jeanne Streiff. Check out what she has in store for you! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day! Hugs and smiles

I am excited to be the hostess of today’s Kraftin’ Kimmie Challenge. It’s an easy one. All you have to do is use “manly colors”. Because I used the new image “Curtis”, which will be available starting tomorrow, you will be able to win the image when you participate in the challenge.

I stamped the image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on X-Press It! Blending card and colored him with Copic Markers (Overall: B91, B93, B95, B97, Shirt: YG91, YG93, YG95, Shoes: N4, N6, N8, Skin: E00, E02. E11, Hair: E99, E18, E19, Fish: YG01, YG03, YG25, YG17, BG01, BG02, Y38, E97, E99, Ground: E70, E71, E74).

The image was cut and embossed with the inner part of Spellbinders Classic Frame. The image was airbrushed with Copic Marker B91 and layered on a black piece of cardstock cut and embossed with a Classic Rectangle Nestabilities die.

The card base is a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Kraft cardstock folded in half. A 3″ x 3 1/2″ piece of Nottinghill 7Gypsies paper was adhered to a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of paper from the same paper pack. The layers were stitched to a 1/4″ bigger piece of white cardstock and then adhered to the card base.

The sentiment is from Kimmie’s Beachy Sentiments. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Solar White Neenah cardstock that had been cut and embossed with Petite Oval Nestabilities. It was airbrushed with Copic Marker B91. A jump ring was attached to the right hand side of the sentiment panel to make it look like the sentiment is on Curtis fishing rod hook and adhered to the image.

Lately I have been lazy and not decorating my cards. That just feels wrong somehow, like the card is not finished. For this one I finally got over my laziness and added a bit more paper stitched to a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of white cardstock.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day! Hugs and smiles

Jenn, Lori and I used the Whiff of Joy’s Henry Christmas Bauble stamp with the same Echo Park paper as a friendly challenge between friends.

For my card I stamped the image with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on X-Press It! Blending card and colored it with Copic Markers (Mouse: E31, E33, E35, E37, E39, E02, E04, Ornament: Y38, YR23, YR24, G24, G28, YG25, Hat: R24, R27, R29, R39, C1, C3, Floor: E70, E71, W1, W3, N1, N3, Background: B21, B000, B0000).

It was cut out and embossed with Classic Circle Nestabilities. It was layered on a slightly bigger black cardstock circle and a scallop circle cut and embossed with Scallop Circle Nestabilities out of Cherry Cobbler cardstock. The image was airbrushed with Copic Marker B000.

The card base is a 5″ x 10″ piece of Sour Apple cardstock folded in half. White crepe paper was folded and adhered under a 2″ x 4 1/2″ strip of Echo park paper. The strip was adhered to a 4 1/2″ square of Echo Park paper and stitched to a 4 11/16″ square of Basic Black cardstock. Ribbon from Gina K.’s newest TV stamp kit was adhered over the upper edge of the strip and a Recollection Rhinestone swirl was adhered to the top left corner before the image was adhered to the card with dimensionals.

The sentiment is from Kraftin’ Kimmie’s Holiday Sentiment stamp set. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and cut and embossed with the smallest of the Petite Oval Nestabilities die. Three Silver Kaisercraft Rhinestones finish off the sentiment panel.

To finish off the card, I tied a bow with May Arts Gingham ribbon and topped it with a Basic Grey button. The bow was adhered to the upper left of the image.

I can’t wait to see what Jenn and Lori did with this image and paper. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day! Hugs and smiles
