My card today features the darling Sweet Little Donkey from Meljen’s Design. I love that image. I already had it as a digital image, but I love it so much, I had to get it as a rubber stamp as well. The image was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock, cut and embossed with a Petite Oval Nestabilities die and colored with Copic Markers (donkey: W0, W1, W3, W5, W7, W9    Nose/ear: R01, E93, E95, E07    Grass: G40, G43, G46    Background: BG0000, BG000).

The image was first layered on a piece of Kraft cardstock, cut with a Petite Oval Nestabilities die, then on white cardstock, cut and embossed with the largest Floral Oval Nestabilities die.

Two pieces of Pink Paislee Nantucket Patterned paper were cut and embossed with a Grand Rectangle Nestabilities die. The edges were sanded, stitched and May Arts ribbon was tied around the horizontal strip. The paper was adhered to the card base, white cardstock, cut and embossed with a Grand Scallop Rectangle die.

The image layers were adhered to the card base with dimensional adhesive. Fancy That! Border Bling was added to the upper left hand side of the card, Silver Rhinestones to the lower right corner. A sentiment  from Good Life Tickets was stamped in Tuxedo Black ink on a piece of white cardstock, cut and embossed with a tag die from Home Sweet Home . The embossed part was colored with Copic Marker BG0000. It was tied to the bow with a button and embroidery thread to finish off the card.

Back in February I made this card. I liked it so much, I had to case myself. For this sample I used Meljen’s adorable FREE digital image Sweet Little Donkey.

It was printed on Neenah Solar White cardstock, cut with the largest Circle Nestabilities die and colored with Copic Markers (Light Donkey Colors: W1, W3, W5, Dark donkey Colors: W5, W7, W9, Nose: E93, E95, E97, E99, Earls and hearts: E95, E97, E99, grass: YG41, YG45).

Another piece of Solar White cardstock was cut and embossed with the largest Beaded Circle Nestabilities die and airbrushed with Copic Marker W9. The image circle was airbrushed with Copic Marker BG11 before it was adhered to the beaded circle. The edges of the image circle were paper pierced.  Two buttons (one S.E.I., one October Afternoon) were stitched to the left hand side of the image circle.

The card base is a piece of Solar White cardstock cut and embossed with one of the Label 4 Grand Nestabilities die and scored it in half. Two pieces of Fine and Dandy- True Blue paper was cut with the next size smaller Label 4 Grand die. The strip was adhered to the larger piece before ribbon (unknown origin) was adhered over strip. The layers were stitched to the card front and the image layers were adhered to the card front with dimensionals.

A bow was tied with the help of the Bow-Easy out of May Arts Organdy Ribbon and topped with a Cosmo Cricket Button.  The button was tied on to the bow with the sentiment. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps Handmade letter Seals. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a tag cut and embossed out of Neenah cardstock. The tag was airbrushed with Copic Marker BG11.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

I created this card in March for a Sketch Challenge on Splitcoast.  I started out with printing out the Happy Little Gnome on Neenah Solar White cardstock, cut it with a Small Label Nestabilities die and colored it with Copic Markers (Skin: E50, E51, E53, pants and hat: BG11, BG32, BG45, Shirt and Patch: Y32, Y17, YR15, YR18, hearts: R02, R05, Socks (E23, E25, E27, E29, Sky: B0000, B000, grass: YG11, YG13, YG17).

The image was layered on a piece of Canyon Brown cardstock that had been cut and embossed with a Jumbo Scallop Rectangle Nestabilities die. The edges of the image were paper pierced.

All the patterned paper used on this card are from the Fine and Dandy True Blue My Mind’s Eye Paper. The diagonally strip is 2 1/2″ wide. Two white strips were cut and embossed with the Eyelet Borderabilities die and adhered under the diagonal strip. The strip was adhered to a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of the same paper pack. The lower corners were rounded before decorative stitching was added.

Three buttons were stitched to the lower left of the layers before they were adhered to a card base, a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Kraft cardstock, folded in half.

The sentiment is from Whimsy Treasured Moments Tickets. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a piece of Solar White cardstock, cut and embossed with Petite Oval Nestabilities and colored with Copic Markers YR30 and YR31. A small Cappuccino Twine bow on the side of the sentiment panel finish of the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day.

Today is the Sneak peek day for Meljen’s new rubber stamp release with Whimsy Stamps. Melanie created some gorgeous fairies as rubber stamps. I think her fairies are darling and I am so excited to have some as actual stamps now!

The Sweet Stop sketch is one with lots of layers, including circular ones. I LOVE that!

I started by stamping the  Little Fairy Friend in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. It was cut out with a Classic Rectangle Nestabilities die and the Out of the Box technique. The fairy was colored with Copic Markers (Dress: YG11, YG13, YG17, G24, G28, G29      Hair: Y17, YR15, E08     Skin: E000, E01, E02   Wings: BG10, BG11, BG13     Sky: B0000, B000, B12   Ladybug: R08, R24, R29)

It was adhered to a piece of Kraft cardstock that had been cut and embossed with a Scallop Rectangle Nestabilities die and the edge of the image was paper pierced.

Two pieces of yellow Echo Park Springtime paper were stitched to slightly bigger pieces of Kraft cardstock. The layers were embossed with Tim’s Retro Circles Embossing Folder.  A small circle was punched with a 1 3/8″ circle punch out of Echo Park Playground paper and stamped with a sentiment from Treasured Moment Tickets in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. The circle was adhered partially under the main image layers on the right hand side.

A bigger circle was cut and embossed out of the same paper with a circle Nestabilities die and adhered under the left corner of the image layers. All layers were adhered to a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Little Boy Echo Park paper, which was adhered to the card base, a 4 1/2″ x 11 1/2″ piece of Textured white cardstock from Stampin’ Up!

Kaisercraft Silver Rhinestones were added to the circular layers. A white organdy ribbon bow as adhered to the lower right corner of the image. Glossy Accents over the ladybug and Stardust Stickles over the fairy wings finish off the card front.

Because Whisper White cardstock from Stampin’ Up! is rather thin and my card front has a lot of layers, I had to ad a layer to the inside of the card to “stiffen” it up a bit. It’s just a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Kraft cardstock  layered with  a 2″ wide strip of Echo Park Springtime paper.

I hope you have time to participate in the sketch challenge. It’s a fun one! Get that patterned paper out and cut it up! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Hugs and smiles

Danni asked me to be a guest designer for her challenge blog Flutter By Wednesdays today. Theme is fairies, butterflies or angels. A Challenge and fairies? I am so IN! LOL I don’t know why, but I LOVE fairy images.

For my post I chose to show off a card I created a while ago while cyber stamping with Jenn and Lori. I used a digi image from Meljen’s Designs sold at Whimsy stamps called Firefly Fairy.

I printed the image out on Neenah Solar White cardstock and, cut it out with Classic Circle Nestabilities die and colored it with Copic Markers (Dress: BV02, BV04, BV08, trim, hair and shoes: YG23, YG25, YG17, Wings: YG0000, YG00, YG01, firefly: BV0000, BV01, BV02, BV04, Light: Y00, Y11, Y13, stick: E33, E35, E39).

The image was layered on a Canyon Brown cardstock cut and embossed with the next size Circle Nestabilities and paper pierced. The layers were then adhered to a Kraft Eyelet Circle cardstock.

A 3″ x 4 1/2″ strip of Echo Park Springtime paper was adhered to a 4 1/2″ square of the same paper pack. A strip of white lace was adhered underneath the horizontal strip before the layers were stitched to a 1/4″ bigger piece of Canyon Brown cardstock. Blue Silk Ribbon was tied around the strip before the the layers were adhered to the card base, a 5″ x 10″ piece of Kraft cardstock, folded in half.

The sentiment is from the Whimsy set Handmade Letter Seals. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black ink on a piece of Solar White cardstock that had been cut with one of the Tag Trio dies. The tag and a Cosmo Cricket button were attached to the ribbon bow with iridescent curling ribbon. A Recollection Rhinestone swirl on the top left of the card finish off the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have time to play with Fairies, Butterflies or Angels this week. Have a wonderful day! Hugs and smiles

Isn’t that a darling image? It’s a new digital image from Meljen’s Designs sold by Whimsy stamps called Birthday Cup Mouse. When I saw Friday’s Free for All Challenge (Birthday cards for kids),

I printed out the Birthday Cup Mouse with my new Laserjet Printer (LOVE it!!!, no more smearing) on Neenah Solar White cardstock, cut and embossed it out with the largest Classic Circle Nestabilities die and colored it with Copic Markers (Mouse: N1, N3, N5, YR000, YR00, YR01, Cup: BG10, BG11, BG13, Candles: E21, E25, E29, Y38, YR07, YR18, Candle Flame: Y13, Y15, Y17, Candle Glow: Y00, Background: B0000, B000, B91). The image was layered on a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock (Stampin’ Up!) cut and embossed with the largest Beaded Circle Nestabilities die and the edges were paper pierced.

Different patterned paper from My Mind’s Eye Fine and Dandy True Blue paper pack was cut down to 1″ squares. A 5″ square of white cardstock was run through my Xyron machine and the 1″ squares were adhered to it. The squares were stitched over diagonally, then cut down to a circle with the smallest of the Grand Classic Circle  Nestabilities die.  The circle was adhered to a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock. I placed the die used for the quilted square circle back on that circle and used it as a guide to cut down my Chocolate Chip layer.

Light Orange Core’dinations cardstock was folded in half and cut with a Grand Scallop Circle  Nestabilities die. Brown May Arts Organdy Ribbon was tied around the quilted card layers and topped with a October Afternoon button. With the button the sentiment tag was tied on the bow as well.

The sentiment is from Whimsy’s Oval Snippet. It was stamped on Neenah Solar White cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and cut and embossed with one of the Tag Trio dies. Lots and lots of Silver Kaisercraft Rhinestones finish off the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
Hugs and smiles
