That was the name of last week’s Free For All Challenge on SCS. It has been a long time since I participated in a  Challenge on Splitcoaststampers and it’s time to get out of the summer funk and back to playing challenges. 🙂  For the card I picked the darling image of Where Flowers Bloom. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Classic White cardstock. The image was colored with  Copic Markers (Lamb: W00, E81, R00, R000 Jacket: R00, R11, R12 Pants:N0, N1, N3, N5 Ground: Y11, Y13, Y17 Flowers: Y13, Y15, Y17, YR15, E97, E25).

The edges of the image layer were paper pierced and masked. Next the lamb was masked and cloud dies were added. The background was airbrushed with Copic Marker B01. The clouds were shaded with Copic Markers W00, W0 and W1.

A piece of Echo Park Hello Summer paper was cut into a Pennant die. The edges were sanded before it was adhered to a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of the same paper pack. The bottom corners were rounded, the edges were sanded and stitched. May Arts sheer ribbon was tied around the layers before the layers were adhered to the card base, a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of white cardstock, folded in half. The bow was topped with a button, tied on with embroidery thread.

A sentiment from Bundle of Baby was stamped to the lower right corner with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Part of a  Fancy That! Border Bling was adhered under the sentiment and several rhinestones from the Sleek Strip Silver Rhinestones was added to the upper left corner.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

We are back from our summer break.  Our first challenge after the break is a sketch. Nina is the hostess. It was a hard sketch for me and I just took it as a guide. I definitely didn’t follow it 100%

I started out by stamping an image from The Craft’s Meow’s Lovely Label 18 in Jet Black Archival Ink on a piece of Echo Park Springtime paper. It was cut and embossed with the 2nd largest Label 18 Nestabilities Nestabilities die. A piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock was cut and embossed with the 3rd smallest of the Standard Circle (lg) Nestabilities dies. It was first stamped with the center of the same Lovely Label 18 die. Next the die was placed back on the cardstock circle and part of the image from Butterfly Kisses was stamped in the center.

Another piece of EP Springtime paper was cut and embossed with the third largest of Card Creator Matte B die. The edges were sanded before it was stitched to a slightly bigger piece of black cardstock. Both layers were adhered to piece of white cardstock, cut and embossed with the largest Card Creator Polka Dot die.

A piece of Springtime paper and a piece of white cardstock were cut and embossed with two  Nested Lacey Pennant dies. The patterned paper was sanded before part of a sentiment from Butterfly kisses was stamped on both. They were adhered next to the image layer, which had been adhered to the left hand side of the Card Creator layers with dimesional adhesive. Part of a Fancy Waves! Border Bling was adhered underneath the patterned paper pennant.

The butterfly of the same set was stamped in Dandelion Memento Ink was on white cardstock, cut out and topped with a button. The butterfly was adhered to the image layer on the right hand side.  Stardust Stickles was added over the dandelion and the butterfly wings.

I was too lazy to cut a card base with the largest Polka dot die, so I made my card base out of a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of white cardstock, folded in half. I added another layer of Springtime paper over the card base, measuring by 4″ x 5 1/4″.

I hope you have time to create a card for the challenge! I am so excited we are back. And check out my fellow challenge members gorgeous creations!

Have a wonderful Sunday! Hugs and smiles

I can’t believe my guest designer stint with Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps is already over. Time seems to fly now that school has started again. Today’s challenge is to create a scene. I made it easy on myself and used a stamp that already looks like a scene when you stamp it. It’s an image from Emilie Goulet’s new Too Cute to Spook 1 set.

The image was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink once on Neenah Solar White cardstock and once onEcho Park Hello Summer patterned paper. Both images were colored with Copic Markers (Pumpkins: YR00, YR12, YR15, YR18, R08   Leaves: G20, G21, G24, G28   Skin: E000, E00, E01   Shirt: E41, E42, E43, B91, B93, B95  Pumpkin Eyes: E50, E51, E53).  The image on the patterned paper was cut out with scissors and adhered to the image on the white cardstock, which was cut and embossed with a Card Creator Matte B die.

The images were masked and a circle mask was adhered to the upper left corner. With the die still on the cardstock, the image was sponged with Broken China and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks . Next the circle mask was taken off and that area was sponged with Mustard Seed Distress Ink. The layer was then adhered to black cardstock, cut and embossed with a Card Creator Matte A die.

A piece of Hello Summer paper was cut and embossed with another Matte B die, sanded and stitched to a piece of black cardstock, cut and embossed with the next larger Matte A die. Ribbon was tied around the layers before the image layers were adhered with dimensional adhesive. The layers were adhered to the card base,  5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ cardstock from the Emerald Coast Color Made Easy collection.

A sentiment from the set was stamped on a piece of Solar White cardstock, cut and embossed with the smallest of the Nested Lacey Pennants dies. Four rhinestones from a Sleek Strips Silver Rhinestones were adhered underneath the sentiment before the pennant was adhered to the upper left corner. Part of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl above the bow finish off the card.

I hope you have time to check out the other designers samples and participate in the challenge. Have a wonderful weekend!

Today’s tutorial on Splitcoaststampers is for a Side Step card variation, the Circular Side Step card. For my sample I stamped the darling Ebony from The Greeting Farm in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink once on Neenah Solar White cardstock, once on pink paper from Echo Parks Summer Days collection. The shirt and head band were colored on the patterned paper, the rest on the white cardstock with Copic Markers (Hair: YG01, YG03, YG17   Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11   Shirt/Headband: RV25, RV29, RV69   Skirt: C3, C5, C7   Skull: W00, W1). The headband and shirt were cut out and adhered to the image stamped on cardstock, which was then cut out as well.

White cardstock was cut and embossed with the largest Splendid Circle die and blue patterned paper from Summer Days with the third largest  Standard Circle Nestabilities die. The patterned paper was sanded, then stitched to the Splendid Circle center. Ebony was adhered over the circles with dimensional adhesive.

The card base was cut and embossed out of white cardstock with the second largest Grand Circle Nestabilities die. Patterned paper strips from the Summer Days paper pack were adhered together, cut and embossed with that same circle die. The edges were sanded and then the paper was cut on the embossed edge. For the cuts on the right hand side I placed the paper over the card base and used a stylus to trace the cut lines. Next I cut 1/8″ along that traced line. The edges were stitched before the paper was adhered to the card front. Ribbon was tied around the edge of the first step and tied into a bow. A skull from the shirt was stamped again on white cardstock, cut out and adhered over the bow. The image was adhered over the big part of the card base with dimesional adhesive and part of a Finesse Rhinestone Swirl was adhered under the bow.

The tag and postage image from Tea-rrific clear stamp image were stamped in black ink on Summer Days paper and cut out. They were adhered on top of each other with another skull image and taped the the back step of the card.

In the center two pieces of Summer Days paper were cut and embossed with the bigger heard from the new Folk Art die set. The edges were sanded. The hearts were adhered to the center step and topped with two of the bigger rhinestones from a Sleek Strips Silver Rhinestones pack.

Did you see that Flourishes has all their Christmas sets on  25% off right now until the end of the month? Because of that the Timeless Tuesday team showed off Christmas cards on Tuesday and the design team is showing off more Christmas projects today.

Of course I had to combine the gorgeous Flourishes stamps with newly released Spellbinders dies.

I love the Holiday Tree die cut set. I used the tree die to cut and emboss white cardstock.  Brown rhinestones were randomly added. Patterned paper was cut and embossed with the second Label Eight Nestabilities die. The edges were sanded before it was adhered to the card base, white cardstock cut and embossed with the largest Decorative Label Eight die.

A sentiment from Petals & Peace was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on white cardstock that had been cut and embossed with an insert die from Fancy Framed Tags One. It was adhered to the lower right of the tree.

Today is Linda‘s turn to host the Crafty Friends Challenge. Her challenge to us is to use flowers on your projects. Paper flowers, flower stamps or even flowers on patterned paper.

I combined today’s challenge with one of the current Moxie Fab World Challenges called Doily and Lace. I love the big doily stamp from The Craft’s Meow Simply Delightful stamp set. It was stamped as a background in Cantaloupe Memento ink on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock that had been cut and embossed with the second largest Label 25 Nestabilities die. The edges of the label were sponged with the same ink.

The flower of Simply Delightful set was stamped in Lady Bug Memento Ink twice on Solar White cardstock. The flowers were cut out, layered and topped with a Rhinestone. The leaf/stem image from that set was stamped in Pear Tart Memento Ink cut out and adhered under the flower.

A sentiment was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a piece of white cardstock that had been cut and embossed with a  Nested Lacey Pennants die. The sentiment was adhered to the lower right of the label 25 and the flower was adhered slightly over the pennant.

The card base is a 3 3/4″ x 11″ piece of white cardstock, folded in half. The bottom two corners were rounded. A 3 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Echo Park Hello Summer patterned paper was embossed with the Mystic M-Bossabilities folder. The corners were rounded, the embossed part was sanded and the edges were sewn.

A hole was punched in the lower half of the label and May Arts ribbon was threaded through. The label was adhered to the paper with dimensional foam and the ribbon was tied into a bow. The patterned paper was adhered to the card base. Parts of a  Finesse Rhinestone Swirl and two Leaf Trinket Pins finish off the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have time to participate in the challenge. Who doesn’t like flowers, right?
